Q. What is Southland Integrated Services?

Southland Integrated Services is a community based non-profit organization that operates as a Federal Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with Integrated Health Services and a Comprehensive Social Service Agency. Southland Integrated Services is established in 1979 as a refugee resettlement supporting agency in Westminster, California and formerly known as the Vietnamese Community of Orange County.

Q. What type of Physicians does Southland Integrated Services have?

Southland Integrated Services physicians are family practice experts (MD, DO, and PA) who can work with infants, children and adults. For dental services, you have an option to see DDS, DMD, and RDA. Our psychologist PsyD and MSW providers are available to assist you with behavioral services.

Q. Are discounts offered to Southland Integrated Services patients?

Southland Integrated Services offers sliding fee discount program to assist patients with their financial obligations with us. The eligibility for this program depends solely on your household income and your family size. How do I make an appointment?

Southland Integrated Services offers regular appointment, same-day appointment visit, and walk-in visit or urgent cases. To make an appointment, you can call our front desk at (714) 620-7001 or present to the front desk for in-person appointment.

Can I request a provider based on my personal preferences?

Southland Integrated Services strives to create a safe and welcoming environment to all patients. As you schedule your appointment or visit Southland Integrated Services Health Center, all providers and medical staff who have the expertise and skills will provide the best care for you and your family. Therefore, we will do our best to accomodate your needs.

Does Southland Health Center accept insurance, Medi-Cal (Medicaid), Medicare?

Yes, we accept and bill most insurances including Medicare and Medi-Cal. Your co-pay will depend on your insurance policy. We also offer sliding fee discount program which can significantly reduce your cost depending on your income level and family size.

Does Southland Integrated Services provide any Medi-Cal or Covered California application assistant?

Yes. We have Certified Enrollment Counselors (CEC) that will assist you on applying for Medi-Cal, Covered California, FPACT, CDP and CHDP. Please ask our front desk staff or call (714) 620-7001 for more information.

What is the last appointment at Southland Integrated Services?

Our clinic closes at 5 p.m. so the last appointment to be seen is at 4:30 p.m.

Will I need to bring my medical records with me or does Southland Health Center start from scratch?

We encourage patients to bring all medical records and all medication list to the clinic on the first visit. This will provide our providers the most general picture about your health, medical history, and references so that we can present the best care matching your needs.

Does Southland Integrated Services, Ins. offer services during weekends?

We offer multiple services during weekends. For instances, we offer citizenship workshops on every Saturday. Our clinic also opens from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Southland Integrated Services is closed for all major national holidays such as New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Do you have translators on site?

We do have staff members who speak English, Vietnamese, and Spanish. They can assist you with translation if the need arises. If you make a request at the time of booking your regular appointment, we can contact your insurance company to arrange translation services.
